An engineering office that draws houses.
M&N Home Design was founded in Agoura Hills in 2017 with one structural idea: put the the design work and the engineering under the same roof, and stop losing months to the handoffs between them.
Since then the office has worked across 16 cities in Los Angeles and Ventura counties — single-family houses, accessory dwelling units, small multi-family buildings and a handful of commercial fit-outs. The common thread is not a style. It is that the person who has to make the building stand up is in the room while it is being designed.
We also handle the permit submittal ourselves. Clients do not hire a separate expediter, and we do not charge separately for chasing corrections — the fee for a phase covers getting that phase approved.

What we are, and what we are not
We are
- A design and engineering office: design drawings, structural calculations, civil plans.
- Licensed to engineer the structural and civil work in California.
- Responsible for getting your permit set approved, including the corrections.
- Involved through construction, answering the builder’s questions.
We are not
- A general contractor. We do not hold the construction contract or build the work.
- A firm that quotes a price before seeing what the parcel allows.
- Interested in taking a project we do not think is buildable as drawn.
Construction is delivered by licensed general contractors. We coordinate with the builder so the built work matches the approved drawings.
Send us the address.
Tell us the property and roughly what you want to build. We come back with what the zoning allows, the likely permit path, and a fixed fee for the first phase.
